Raised in the small town of Vredenburgh, Alabama, Mashika Tempero-Culliver is an alumnus of J.F. Shields High School in Beatrice, Alabama. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences/Pre-Pharmacy from Auburn University. She furthered her education at Auburn University Montgomery, earning her Masters (Secondary Biology Education) and Education Specialist (Instructional Technology) degrees, and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at Auburn University (ABD). Mrs. Tempero-Culliver’s passion for science education is rooted in her childhood fascination with plants, the human body, and peer tutoring. As a Selma High School science educator, Tempero-Culliver aims to intrinsically engage and uniquely empower scholars to use their knowledge to transform the world around them.
