Mashika Tempero-Culliver- Department Head

Raised in the small town of  Vredenburgh, Alabama, Mashika Tempero-Culliver is an alumnus of J.F. Shields High School in Beatrice, Alabama.  She received a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences/Pre-Pharmacy from Auburn University.  She furthered her education at Auburn University Montgomery, earning her Masters (Secondary Biology Education) and Education Specialist (Instructional Technology) degrees, and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at Auburn University (ABD). Mrs. Tempero-Culliver’s passion for science education is rooted in her childhood fascination with plants, the human body, and peer tutoring. As a Selma High School science educator, Tempero-Culliver aims to intrinsically engage and uniquely empower scholars to use their knowledge to transform the world around them. Asia Daniels

Ms. Daniels was born and raised in Montgomery, AL where she attended Auburn University Montgomery for her bachelor's degree in Secondary Education- Biology. She returned to AUM to receive her first master's in Instructional Technology, and she is currently working on a second master's in Educational Leadership from Auburn University's main campus. Ms. Daniels is entering her 6th year of teaching and has taught many levels of science. Ms. Daniels enjoys anything technology and any opportunity to be creative. 

Darron Rembert

Darron Rembert also known as coach Rembert, is a both a product and long-standing citizen of the Selma city area. He enjoys life with his family, friends, coworkers, and the students he interacts with on a daily basis. Coach Rembert has been in a teacher’s/coach’s role since 2015 and has, as well as continues to enjoy all that comes with this territory each given day.

Curtis Graves

Born in New Orleans, Louisiana Mr. Curtis Graves is a high school graduate of Central High School of Tuscaloosa.  He received a Bachelor of Science in Special Education/Collaborative Instruction from the University of West Alabama and later received highly qualified credentials in Biology and Physical Education passing the state Praxis. He furthered his education at Grand Canyon University receiving his masters in Curriculum Instruction and Ed.S in Teaching and Learning. Currently, Mr. Graves is entering his 18th year of teaching, coaching, and mentoring. He has an immense passion for transforming the lives of students despite all obstacles they may encounter so that they develop into critical thinkers that set out to enhance their communities.
